Not All Air Duct Cleaning Is the Same

At Midwest Heating & Cooling, we've invested in professional truck-mounted duct cleaning equipment capable of up to 12,000 CFM of suction. Combined with specialized agitation tools, our system is designed to loosen and remove accumulated dust, dirt, pet hair, construction debris, and other material from your ductwork.

And unlike companies that charge based on the number of vents, our pricing is based on the square footage of your home, so you know how our pricing works before we arrive.

As a full HVAC and indoor air quality company, we look beyond the ductwork to help identify concerns involving your HVAC system as a whole.

Why Choose Midwest for Air Duct Cleaning?

From the initial inspection through the final walkthrough, we document the cleaning process so you can see the condition of your system and the work performed.

Our jobsite photography captures the customer experience from start to finish, including the equipment used, the cleaning process, before-and-after results, and any additional services completed during your visit.

Our Air Duct Cleaning Process

1. Inspect

We evaluate your ductwork and HVAC system and identify areas that need attention. When applicable, we can use camera inspection to provide a closer look inside the ductwork.

2. Prepare

Registers, returns, and the duct system are prepared for cleaning. We also take steps to protect your home and work area throughout the service.

3. Agitate

Specialized brushes and high-pressure air tools help loosen dust, debris, pet hair, and other accumulated material from duct surfaces.

4. Remove

Our truck-mounted vacuum system provides powerful suction to remove loosened material from your duct system.

5. Document

We provide matching before-and-after photographs when applicable, so you can see what was inside your system and what was removed.

6. Review

Your technician will review the results with you, explain what was found, and answer any questions about your system.

Could Your Ductwork Use a Cleaning?

Duct Cleaning. Air ducts being cleaned.

Professional duct cleaning may be worth considering if you notice:

  • Excessive dust around your home
  • Persistent musty or stale odors
  • Visible debris around registers
  • Pet hair or dander
  • Dust or debris from a remodeling project
  • Accumulated material visible inside your ductwork
  • It's been several years since your ducts were professionally cleaned

Our process can help remove accumulated dust, pet hair, construction debris, and other visible material from accessible areas of your duct system.

If you're experiencing an odor concern, we can help determine whether the source may be within the accessible duct system or if another part of the HVAC system or home should be evaluated.

Not sure if you need duct cleaning? We can help you determine whether cleaning makes sense based on what we find.

When to Consider Dryer Vent Cleaning

  • Clothes take longer than usual to dry
  • The dryer or laundry area gets unusually hot
  • Airflow from the exterior vent seems weak
  • Lint accumulates around the dryer or vent
  • The dryer shuts off before clothes are dry

Dryer vent cleaning can often be completed during the same visit as your air duct cleaning. Our technicians can inspect the vent, remove accumulated lint and debris, and help restore proper airflow.

Treatments for Specific Home Concerns

Every home is different. When conditions identified during the inspection support their use, optional treatments may be available as part of your duct cleaning service.

Sanitizer

A treatment designed to help address microorganism concerns within applicable areas of the HVAC system.

Consider it if: Your technician identifies conditions where an approved sanitizer treatment may be appropriate.

Environmental Deodorizer

Designed to address odors at their source rather than simply masking them with fragrance.

Consider it if: Your home has persistent odors that may be associated with the HVAC system or accessible ductwork.

Contaminant Removal & Disinfectant

When appropriate, an approved disinfectant treatment may be used to address specific concerns involving microorganisms, mold, or mildew.

Consider it if: Your technician identifies conditions where a disinfectant or other treatment may be appropriate.

Treatment recommendations are based on the conditions found during your appointment. Product use and performance claims follow the applicable product label and approved application.

Not sure which treatment is right for your home? Our team can help explain what was found and which options, if any, make sense.

More Than a Duct Cleaning Company

Because Midwest is a full HVAC and indoor air quality company, our technicians can help identify whether dust, odors, airflow, humidity, or comfort concerns point to something beyond the ductwork.

  • Whole-Home Air Purifiers for added air cleaning
  • UV Lights when system conditions make UV treatment appropriate
  • Whole-Home Humidifiers for humidity concerns
  • Improved HVAC Filtration when the existing filter setup isn’t meeting the home’s needs
  • Duct Sealing and Repair for leaks, gaps, or disconnected ductwork

We’ll explain what we find and recommend additional solutions only when they address an actual concern.

Apples-to-Apples Price Match Promise

A lower price doesn’t always mean you’re comparing the same service. If you receive a lower written quote from a competitor using comparable equipment and offering a similar scope of service, we’ll match their price.
